Tell Her This by Del Amitri

I heard this song on Scrubs.  It's so beautiful.
It's on repeat right now.  Therefore, it's goin' on the blog!

Tell her not to go
I ain't holding on no more
Tell her something in my mind freezes up from time to time

Tell her not to cry
I just got scared that's all
Tell her I'll be by her side, all she has to do is call, all she has to do is call

Tell her the chips are down
I drank too much and shouted it aloud
Tell her something in my heart
Needs her more than even clowns need the laughter of the crowd

Tell her what was wrong
I sometimes think to much
But say nothing at all
And tell her from this high terrain, I am ready now to fall, i am ready now to fall

Tell her not to go
I ain't holding on no more
Tell her nothing if not this; all I want to do is kiss her

Tell her something in my mind
Freezes up from time to time.

Can't You Wait by Geographer

I found this band on a cool website everyone should check out: http://www.thesixtyone.com

I don't know much about them except that they're from San Francisco, they're still relatively unknown and I like their music.

This song is from their 2008 release, Innocent Ghosts.

If I Had A Heart by Fever Ray

Have you seen the Coachella line up for this year?  It's radical.
Fever Ray is going to be there.
I used this song in the play I directed last year.  I think it's pretty awesome.

cha cha check it.

If I Had A Heart from Fever Ray on Vimeo.

Lyrics
This will never end
Cause I want more
More, give me more, give me more

This will never end
Cause I want more
More, give me more, give me more

If I had a heart I could love you
If I had a voice I would sing
After the night when I wake up
I'll see what tomorrow brings

If I had a voice I would sing

Dangling feet from window frame
Will I ever ever reach the floor?
More, give me more, give me more

Crushed and filled with all I found underneath and inside
Just to come around
More, give me more, give me more

If I had a voice I would sing

Turn Down That Racket by Mount Righteous

"Go on and wait for your miracles, I'll be creating mine.
While you all lock up your fantasies, I'm liberating mine."

Mount Righteous is the coolest band ever.  They're what would happen if The Polyphonic Spree had a peace loving joy orgy with a marching band.  Hailing from Grapevine, Texas, the're still on their way to notoriety.  There are 9 members who play different instruments: Trombone, Electric Guitar, Trumpet, Drums, Bass Drum, Bells, Melodica, Sousaphone, and Symbols.  Their concerts are what make them the most awesome... I saw them a couple nights ago in L.A.  You cannot listen to them without feeling your entire body fill with positivity.

Their 2009 release, Open Your Mouth, has gotten some attention for the song Sing to Me, Tiffany but I'm going to choose Turn Down That Racket.  Mainly because I like the lyrics.  Their 2008 release, When The Music Starts, is a full length album that is less produced but equally quirky.

Check out their website for the full scope of Mount Righteous' righteousness.
